 Hi there, welcome to the fashion podcast. I'm Ben Gittins and today we have a special guest from the company Trendsetters, Harry Evans, who is a designer for the company. Hi Harry, welcome to the podcast, thank you for coming in. How are you today?

Well, first Ben, thank you for having me and I'm doing well today.

​

How are you? I'm doing good thank you Harry, so let's get straight into it. Can you tell me what Trendsetters is all about? 

​

Trendsetters is a magazine company who focuses on trends and produce our own magazines online and in print so that our audience have multiple ways to access it.

That sounds great! So what's the aim of the company and what makes you different to other magazines?

 

Our aim at Trendsetters is to produce a magazine that looks more in depth at the younger generations to young adults. We look at current fashion trends and produce magazines that will represent them and provide them with a guide to help them level up their style.

While this still being cost effective to allow as many people as possible to be able to recreate the styles they see. It looks like you thought a lot about young people.

 

What made you focus on them in your magazine?

 

We chose them as we believe younger audiences aren't represented much in current fashion media. So we wanted to provide them a magazine that gives them that recognition while still appealing to other audiences with our fashion idea.

 

That's interesting Harry, can you tell me how have you represented the younger audience in your magazines?

 

In all our magazines we use young models to represent the younger audience. This also allows them to see what the stars look like on someone more like their age. We also try to pick up on current fashion trends that are popular amongst them, giving them tips to level up their current style. A good example of this is our newest edition of our magazine, where we focused on street style. We intend to look at how it can help younger generations with their under representation and confidence, through the style being very personalized and showing off a person's individualism. This gives young audience a voice through our young models showing off this style as they can recreate it themselves however they want, showing off their personality to the world.

That sounds like amazing work, especially with trying to help improve young people's confidence. Well, I think that's all we've got time for today. Thank you for giving us some insight into trendsetters and what you stand for and aim to achieve.
